The Regional Economic Development Plan (REDP) exists to guide the long-term direction of the economy and will help drive high-impact economic initiatives over the next 10 years.

The REDP aims to help create some of the jobs our region will need in the next 30 years. It also aims to improve the quality of life for our growing population. To do this, we need to support our region to be more productive, resilient, inclusive, and sustainable, with thriving Māori and Pasifika communities.

The Regional Economic Development Plan has been developed to identify priority areas, initiatives and projects for the next 10 years. This plan has been developed with integration and coordination across multiple organisations. WellingtonNZ is implementing the plan on behalf of the Wellington Regional Leadership Committee.
