This project will develop a collectively-owned emissions reduction strategy which directs the transition to a low-no carbon region. This strategy will identify the benefits and the priorities for the region, as well as being clear on timing, roles and responsibilities, high-level costs and how these costs will be met.

What we’re doing
Deliverables
- A technical emissions stocktake of current and planned council, and other key organisational activities, to create baseline data for the two deliverables below
- A) Review options for modelling decarbonisation pathways and hold workshops to develop a set of principles for a transition to being a low/no carbon region B). Develop an emissions reduction strategy, including scenario and options analysis
- Develop an agreed suite of tools to inform further spatial, structure and master planning to achieve low-emissions in urban areas.
